unhindered and (seemingly) illogical

hmm...
nothing like walking around a city to get to know and appreciate it a little more. it's funny how sometimes you think you have seen all there is to see in a given place, and the you see a whole different side to it, and it suddenly has a a face, a personality, and it is not quite so scary. yeah... there is eomthing about the facelessness of a big city that makes it intimdating in a strange way. and yet there are parts that very much feel like home, and that is comforting. anyway...

got home at 4 am, locked out of my room... wake up to find out that my computer isn't working. yeah. not the greatest. God is really working on me today... i am trying to have a good attitude about it, despite the fact that i am tired and that i have no money to fix my computer. God will take care of it just as He always does. so, yeah... doesn't mean it isn't hard to keep a good attitude somedays, like this morning... but? such is the christian life. a constant striving after Jesus, and trying to be more like Him in every way. including my attitude! lol... He is teaching me what it means to really try and strive after Him... i really want to try, i really want to live this life the right way, in everything. once upon a time i would have just threw my hands up in the air in despair when my computer broke, and just run away from the problem. but, He is teaching me to rely on Him, and just to not worry about stuff. yeah, i still worry, way too much about way too many things sometimes, but? i am slowly learning that He can take care of things. i know i can't do it, i always screw them up. it is nice to know that someone can accomplish the things that need to be done. so, yeah, all of this on me trying to keep a good attitude over the fact that my computer is busted... lol... seems kinda silly, but? this morning it is a little bit of a struggle. but? God is good, and He takes care of me. of this i have full confidence.

on a lighter note, for some strange reason i chipped in with some friends yesterday and we bought a couple lotto tickets. none of us had ever done it before, and we just randomly decided to do it. meh? who knows...? lol... the draw is today... hmmm... time to go find some lotto info! lol...

so, got to bed at a decent time, got up at 9... nice to get stuff done.
talked with a prof. about doing an internship under him next year... looks like it will be pretty easy and a lot of fun actually. he's the English prof., so it will be cool. i hope to learn a lot about writing in the process...
anyhow... i get to go hang out tonight, do some fun stuff...
other than that?

i think that i am going to clean my room tonight...
it just needs it, no doubt about that.
that, and now that i have that big slew of big papers done, and just have a lot of reading to do, i actually have some time to clean my room!

so, yeah... just got back from a nice time spinning brodies out in the back fields... so much fun... in a '84 honda civic. we got stuck so many times... i am so tired... but, it was fun. anyhow... time to do a little reading.

it is so unbelieveably warm! it is 45 degrees right now. about a week ago, it was -55. (for those on a more metric scale, that's 7 and -50) that's a hundred degrees difference! wow...
it's amazing how much a little warm weather and some sunshine can take an alright day and make it better. i think i am going to go take some picture this afternoon, maybe. a few at least. drag out my Nikon, which i have used in probably 3 months! so, that will be cool... hopefully sometime this weekend get to go take some pics or something...
anyhow... one more class before my weekend begins!

so, in the car on the way back into town tonight, we were listening to Counting Crows, and commenting how much they talk about the rain. and so, in my head, i was thinking about rain, and this is what popped into my head:

raindrops running down my face
mingling with my tears
the sky hides my emotions from you...
