so, time spent at home is difficult. i love this place, but i hate it. it is one of the most beautiful places in the world, in my mind, and yet one of the most demeaning to me as a person. "home is where the heart is" they say. if that's the case, this isn't home. did i mention the prairies? hmm... lol. anyhow, i love my family, but this place is hard. someday i will overcome this strange pull that it has on me. someday.

lost inside this hellish angst
i cannot feel another thing
turned around and upside down
my frustrations bleed through
i know it far to well
the satisfaction of this defeat
time spent in this place
can only cause me grief
trials of the highest morality
the battle's in my mind
is this a pennance for past sins
or merely the cost of future joys
endurance is a must
and it's coming slow but sure
ground gained is died for
and someday i will overcome
and it is temptation that will succumb
by the grace of God alone

so, i am getting the hang of this, slowly.
i migth actually begin to enjoy this on some level, if i can cooridinate myself...
anyhow. what's with Christmas anyways? why is so dang commercial? Christmas is about the birth of Christ, not materialism. we seem to have forgotten that in north america. hmm... maybe we could all sponsor a child for Christmas presents? we could feed a lot of starving kids that way. but, this is for my thought provication as well as yours... i'm not a snob...
